brown & schuessler - very fine mural art was established in 2004, but our expertise in the field of design, mural painting, the art of trompe l'oeil painting and the creation of artistic wall finishes (also referred to as faux finishes) goes back to 1989, when Stefanie Schuessler, Art Director of brown & schuessler - very fine mural art, got her education with one of Europe's finest mural artists in Belgium.
Stefanie Schuessler has also gone through another solid education: at renowned Art Center College of Design she graduated with a BFA in graphic design. As Art Director for advertising and graphic design she traveled the world, till she finally made a life -
changing decision and returned to her "roots": painting and decorating walls in residential homes and commercial premises.
Painting a Trompe l'oeil can be a tedious process, but when done artfully, it rewards the artist and the admirer with an almost true
to reality object or piece of architecture. Nobody can withstand the surprising effect a trompe l'oeil (fool the eye) leaves behind.
